After going the wrong way in a qualifying round Jamie still won the night by beating Cheryl in the finals.

Cheryl is one of only 4 ladies in the World to race sprintboats. She has competed successfully in America and NZ.

Jamie competed in the World Series Events in 2007 and ranked in the top 14 in the world.

In the Group A class, new Driver Russell Taylor had his foot firmly to the floor and had the spectators attention at every turn as he raced the challenging track under lights for the first time.

In the New Turbo Class Division ex Restricted Class driver Nigel Johnson took the night as “B” driver in John Wood’s boat. John came 2^nd and may have to reconsider loaning his boat is the future.

Nigel’s new boat will be on the water for the next event on Sunday 27^th January and it will be interesting to see how Nigel goes in his own boat against John Wood.

The Restricted Class had an “A” & “B” team fighting for 1^st place with Scott Mathews taking the night & Glen Chapman hot on his heals. This should make for an interesting challenge next week.
